Seventh Grade

Teacher – Mrs. Dickerson

Greetings Parents and George E. Peters Family. My name is Lakeisha Dickerson and I am the Middle School History, English and Choir Teacher. I absolutely love our school! I actually graduated from G. E. Peters in the second graduating class of 1989! Woohoo that was a long time ago! When I decided to become a teacher, I knew that I wanted to come back and teach at the school that made such a difference in my life. I have been teaching for 21 years. I graduated from Columbia Union College and attended graduate school at Morgan State University and Towson University where I received my Master’s Degree in Teaching. The thing I love most about teaching is watching my kids move from one level to the next. I love that when they leave my class, they walk away with something that no one can take from them, knowledge! I like to sing, dance, and paint, but I spend most of my free time reading romance novels!! If I had to choose a favorite scripture it would be Psalms 37:1-2. “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.” If I am doing what God has called me to do, and I do it with an honest heart, he will always have my back.
